About Nanny & Pop Foundation

Gene "Pop" Tollison retired from Palmetto Spinning. Bert "Nanny" Tollison retired from Dr. Byron Brown's Dentist Office. Both were a member for over 50 years at New Prospect Baptist Church, where they served many roles such as deacon, Sunday School teacher, nursery caretaker and youth leaders.

Nanny and Pop Tollison were married for sixty-three years. They raised three children and seven grandchildren in Laurens, South Carolina. Their favorite thing to do was to take their family to the beach for quality time.

The Nanny and Pop Foundation serves the community by offering families a chance to spend quality time together. Each year a family will be selected to spend an all-expense paid vacation to the beach. Chosen families will be those who cherish family values and need a little financial help to enjoy a beach vacation.
